Divers are pretty rare in the PBC area but in
the past couple
of
years we've had all three British species. This juvenile/first-winter Great
Northern completed the
hat-trick. We arrived on the scene at about 7am the day after the bird
was found (it was just getting light) and joy of joys, it was still
there. The light was terrible though and the need to get to work cut
play short. However, we returned at lunchtime for another dose and
things were much improved. See next
