Not exactly the most aesthetically-pleasing of birds, this Herring Gull was perched on a chalet roof. It was good digiscoping practice, the birds being attracted within close range by leftover sandwiches in the afternoons, and in the mornings by the sound of the smoke detectors, triggered by burning fry-ups.
