The Fieldfare is probably my favourite thrush. I like their noisy, gregarious behaviour. At my old 'local patch' (well, it's as close as I got to a local patch when I lived at home), there were hordes of Fieldfares around the car-park area. Most of the time, they were just a bit too distant for digiscoping (at 16x, anyway), and my clumsy attempts to sneak up on them were foiled. It's just not possible to sneak while carrying an extended tripod and paraphernalia. So I'm not displeased with this effort.
