común | Zanglijster Ferry Meadows Country Park, Peterborough. 19.12.2004. Original blog post. Another very jammy shot. The Song Thrush was feeding down on the Nene Valley Railway cutting when something spooked it and it flew up to my level to perch in an Oak tree. It was very lucky that there were no twigs in the way, which is usually the case when a bird flies into shot in a tree! Also, though the light wasn't brilliant, it was good enough and the bird paused for a minute or so - long enough to get a few pics. Why can't this happen more often?!
