Nene
Washes, Cambridgeshire. 25.03.2005. Original
blog post.
The Nene Washes are one of the few lowland areas in the UK where Snipe
still breed. It's fantastic to go there and hear them 'drumming' - the
males dive through the air and their outer tail feathers vibrate. An
eerie, atmospheric sound.
