Digiscoping swimming waterbirds is a bit of a challenge, especially if, like this female Tufted Duck, they keep diving. The bird was swimming along quite fast, so I had to pan the scope along with it and try to keep a steady hand to fire the shutter with. It was also quite close, so though I had to zoom in a little bit to stop getting vignetting, if I zoomed in too much then the shutter speed might have been too slow, and I might not have got the whole bird in the frame.
