| Broad-bodied Chaser
| Libellula
depressa Castor Hanglands NNR, Peterborough. 31.05.2004. Original blog post. This was quite good fun. Mike 'Weedon's World of Nature' Weedon phoned me to say he'd found a terrific male Broad-bodied Chaser at Castor Hanglands NNR. It seemed worth going to have a look, so I went over there and found the pair of them by one of the ponds. The chaser was hunting for food over the water, and going back to rest on a willow branch. I couldn't get close enough for a normal macro shot (and the insect wouldn't have stayed put anyway), but I had my scope with me, so I decided to have a go at digiscoping it.
