| Ruddy Darter | Sympetrum sanguineum Woodwalton Fen NNR, Cambridgeshire. 30.07.2004. Original blog post. I had a very productive visit to Woodwalton Fen NNR on 30 July. The place was absolutely swarming with insects - butterflies, moths, damselflies and dragonflies. It was magical. Ruddy Darters and Common Darters were probably the most numerous, but the hardest to photograph. It was quite hot and very sunny so they were extra-active. I had to wait for ages until I found a cooperative one. Bogbumper > insects > dragonflies > Ruddy Darter Taken with Nikon Coolpix 995 home | blog | digiscoping | contact | guestbook |
