| Scarce Chaser | Libellula fulva Houghton Mill, Cambridgeshire. 20.06.2004. Original blog post. A visit to Houghton Mill near Huntingdon with Steve Dudley turned into a bit of a macro-fest. We were there to look for White-legged Damselflies and the species pictured above, Scarce Chaser. The conditions were rather overcast, which proved to be ideal for photographing the drags and damsels, since they were a little bit too cold to be fully active, and were just sitting around in the riverside vegetation. This dragonfly had only recently emerged (said to be 'teneral'). Bogbumper > insects > dragonflies > Scarce Chaser Taken with Nikon Coolpix 995 home | blog | digiscoping | contact | guestbook |
